ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member

WishList Member includes an integration with ResponseSuite. This allows you to automatically provide or revoke member access in WishList Member based on specific settings you apply to a survey in ResponseSuite. You can create automation to occur based on the way users answer the survey questions. This can include adding members to a membership level depending on how they respond to certain questions. Or removing them from a membership level if they provide a different answer. These are just a couple sample ideas. All the details are explained below (including examples and screenshots).

Enable ResponseSuite Integration

First, you can select and enable the ResponseSuite option in the Setup > Integrations > Other Services section of WishList Member.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Enable

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Enable

The Settings tab will appear and three fields with three pieces of information will be displayed.

  • WordPress URL
  • Digest Auth Username
  • API Key / Digest Auth Password

The WordPress URL and API Key are the pieces of information needed to create the connection between WishList Member and ResponseSuite.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Settings

The WordPress URL, Digest Auth Username and API Key/Digest Auth Password can also be found in the Advanced Options > API section of WishList Member.

Connecting WishList Member and ResponseSuite

The WordPress URL and API Key from WishList Member can be copied and pasted into the corresponding fields in the Integration Setup > Membership > WishList Member section on the ResponseSuite site.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Integration Setup

You will just need to click the green “Connect” button and the WishList Member security credentials popup will appear.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Connect

The WordPress URL from WishList Member can be pasted into the field named API URL in the security credential popup in ResponseSuite.

You can click the brown “Authorize” button once the two fields are filled in.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Security Credentials

The status will appear as “Connected” as shown in the screenshot below.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Connected

WishList Member and ResponseSuite are now connected and the integration process can continue.

Integrating ResponseSuite Surveys with Membership Levels in WishList Member

You can create a survey as you typically would in the Surveys > Create section of ResponseSuite. It can include any questions you would like to ask the participants. A survey can be integrated with WishList Member while it is being created or you can integrate an existing survey with WishList Member.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Surveys

The example below shows an existing survey named “Have You Enjoyed the Skydiving Course” that will be integrated with WishList Member. This can be done in the Surveys > View All section of ResponseSuite.

Click the edit icon on the far right of the survey.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Surveys

The Survey Editor appears and displays the Build section of the survey. The questions appear along with their various settings.

There is one main piece (and two more recommended pieces) of information that will need to be included in the questions in order to pass the information between ResponseSuite and WishList Member.

  • First Name (recommended)
  • Last Name (recommended)
  • Email Address (required)
ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Create

An email address is required to be added by the user filling out the survey as that will be used to create the member account in WishList Member or locate the existing member in WishList Member. The questions requesting that info will be connected with WishList Member in the Settings section of the Edit Survey section.

It is recommended to also include questions to ask the user to include their First Name and Last Name but it isn't required. Only the email address is a required field.

New users will not need to create a password as one will be automatically generated and emailed to them by WishList Member if they submit the required information as they complete the survey.

Once all your questions are configured, you can click the “Settings” option on the top of the page.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Create

Connect WishList Member with the Survey

The Settings section will appear and you can select the Membership Integrations option on the left menu. A WishList Member option appears since it has been connected with ResponseSuite.

You can now connect the specific survey with WishList Member. Click the blue “Connect” button.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Settings

You will see two steps to configured in this section.

  • Step 1 – Connect ResponseSuite fields to WishList Member fields
    • This is how you will connect the Email Address (and First Name and Last Name) request fields from the ResponseSuite survey to the member account in WishList Member.
  • Step 2 – Trigger membership levels in WishList Member
    • This is how you will set if a user should be added to a membership level or removed from a membership level based on how they fill out the survey questions.
ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Connect ResponseSuite to WishList Member

Connect ResponseSuite Fields to WishList Member Fields

The example screenshot below shows the Step 1 section. The dropdowns under the WishList Member Fields column have been used to set First Name and Last Name for the first two questions and the dropdown is being used to select Email for the third question.

This means those three questions in the ResponseSuite survey will pass the information the user enters into those fields over to WishList Member and will create the member account or update the existing account if there is one.

The green Save button that appears on the very bottom right of the page will need to be clicked for these settings to take effect.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Connect

Trigger Membership Levels in WishList Member

The example screenshot below shows the Step 2 section. There are a number of available settings to configure the automation of adding a user to a membership level or removing a user from a membership level.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Trigger Membership Levels in WishList Member

Trigger. The set trigger will start the automation process of adding a membership level or removing a membership level from a user.

  • Always. The trigger will always start the automation process each time a user fills in and completes the survey.
  • An answer to a question. The trigger will start the automation process if the user answers the specified question.
    • Choose a question. The “Choose a question” field will appear if the “An answer to a question” option is selected.
  • Activate membership level(s). The membership levels from the connected WishList Member site will appear in this dropdown. You can select any level(s) you want to add to the user when they fill in and complete the survey.
  • Remove membership level(s). The membership levels from the connected WishList Member site will appear in this dropdown. You can select any level(s) you want to remove from the user when they fill in and complete the survey.

An option named “Their score” can be used if you want users to achieve a specific score to be added to a level or removed from a level.

The screenshot below shows a Trigger has been configured to always add the user to the Silver and Bronze membership levels in WishList Member when they fill in and complete the survey.

The green Save button on the very bottom right of the page will need to be clicked for these settings to take effect.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member

You also have the option to enable or disable the Trigger item using the green toggle on the top right. A new Trigger item can be added using the gray plus button on the bottom of the page.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member

Set a Survey Thank You Page

WishList Member is now set to process the information based on the trigger(s) that have been configured in ResponseSuite. You can now move to the next step in ResponseSuite and set a Thank You page. This can be any page or message you want to show users after they fill in and complete the survey.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Thank You Page

Link and/or Embed Code for Survey

The final step is to use the survey link generated by ResponseSuite. This is available in the Share section and provides options to use a link or use an embed survey option. The embed survey option is only available if you have the required ResponseSuite plan.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Share

Allow Users to Fill in the Survey

You can now allow users to fill in the survey and the WishList Member level settings you configured will be applied. Standard Link options are available and an Embed option is also available depending on your ResponseSuite plan.

In this example, the copy icon is used to copy the Normal URL from ResponseSuite.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Share

That link can now be pasted into a page on the WordPress site. The screenshot below shows the words “Click Here” have been set to link to the ResponseSuite survey page.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Allow Users to Take Survey

The live site will show the link and users can click to fill out the survey.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Allow Users to Take Survey

The survey page will appear and the user can answer the questions as they work through the survey.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Survey

View Users in WishList Member

The user will now be added to the Members > Manage section in WishList Member with the corresponding level(s) applied once they fill in and complete the survey. In this example, a user named Walter Tester filled in the survey so they were added as a member with the Silver and Bronze levels.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - Add User to WishList Member

View Survey Results

That user also appears in the Response List section of the survey in ResponseSuite. The Response List can be selected to view by clicking the three horizontal dots on the far right of the survey.

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - View Survey Results

ResponseSuite Integration with WishList Member - View Survey Results

You can use the integration between WishList Member and ResponseSuite to provide members-only access to those who fill in and complete a survey. Various options are also available for you to customize the experience. A user could need to attain a specific score in order to be granted access to a membership level. Or you could even remove access depending on the survey results of a user. The choice is up to you to use WishList Member and ResponseSuite to fit your needs.

Automatically provide or revoke member access in WishList Member based on the survey you create in ResponseSuite.

The Zoom Integration with WishList Member is Coming Soon. It will be released in the near future.

WishList Member includes an integration with Zoom. The combination of WishList Member and Zoom allows you to grant access to specific Zoom meetings to your members. Have you ever wanted to provide members with a weekly Questions and Answers session? Or, maybe you would like to offer special 1 on 1 meetings to new members. This is all possible (and more).

You can set which members can access one time meetings or recurring meetings. This is all handled through the membership levels assigned to your members and the Zoom meetings that can be accessed by those membership levels. More details are explained below.

Enable Zoom Integration

You can select and enable the Zoom option in the Setup > Integrations > Other Services section of WishList Member.

Zoom Integration with WishList Member

Zoom Integration with WishList Member

The Settings tab will appear and a message stating “API Status : Checking…” will be displayed. This is because WishList Member and Zoom need to be connected. The connection process is quick and only requires you to login to a Zoom account.

Connect Zoom with WishList Member

Connecting Zoom with WishList Member

Click the blue Authenticate button and you will be directed to the Zoom sign in page within a new tab in your browser.

You will just need to login to the WishList Member Customer Center if you haven't already. If you aren't logged in when you click the blue Authenticate button, you will be directed to the WishList Member Customer Center login page. Once you are logged into the WishList Member Customer Center, you will be redirected to the Zoom sign in page within a new tab in your browser.

You will need to login to the Zoom account you want to connect with WishList Member and you will be automatically redirected back to the Integrations section in WishList Member.

This will connect the Zoom account with WishList Member and a message stating “API Status : Connected” will appear. You will also see the Meetings tab and the Shortcodes tab appear.

Connect Zoom with WishList Member - API

WishList Member and Zoom are now connected and the integration process can continue.

Integrating Zoom Meetings with WishList Member

You can create online meetings within your Zoom account. This can include one time meetings or recurring meetings. You can then integrate any meeting with a membership level in WishList Member so anyone who gains access to the membership level will be able to attend the corresponding meeting in Zoom.

Any meetings you have created will appear in the Meetings section of your Zoom account.

Zoom Meetings

You can integrate a meeting with a membership level in the Meetings section of the Zoom integration within WishList Member. A list of all membership levels will be displayed and you can select a membership level you want to assign to a meeting. In this example, the level named Platinum is selected.

Membership Levels - WishList Member

The “Editing Zoom Settings for Platinum” popup appears and the meeting(s) can be selected to be assigned to the Platinum level.

Grant member access to Zoom meetings

The “Select Meetings” dropdown will display the meetings that have been created in the connected Zoom account.

Grant member access to Zoom meetings

One or multiple meetings can be selected to be assigned to the membership level. In this example, the meeting named “Recurring Every 7 Days” and the meeting named “Sept 2, 2023 Meeting” are selected. Clicking the Save button will assign the meetings to the level.

Grant member access to Zoom meetings

This means any members in the Platinum level can access the two Zoom meetings.

You can assign any meetings in your Zoom account to any of the membership levels in your site using this method.

Display Meeting Information to Members Using Shortcodes

The available shortcodes can be used to display the Zoom meeting information to your members. This includes upcoming meeting times and dates and links to join the meetings or add meetings to their calendar.

Shortcode Column

The Shortcode Column displays an icon you can click to copy the corresponding shortcode for that specific membership level.

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Shortcodes

The Copy Shortcode popup appears and you can paste that shortcode onto a page or post to display the meeting information to any logged in members with that membership level assigned to them. This example shows the shortcode for the Platinum level.

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Shortcodes

That shortcode can be inserted onto a page or post. This screenshot shows an example page named Zoom Meetings but you can insert the shortcode onto any page or post on your site.

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Default Shortcode

Based on the meetings assigned to the Platinum level, the screenshot below shows how the meeting information will be displayed to a logged in member with the Platinum level assigned to them.

The Platinum level can access the meeting named “Recurring Every 7 Days” and the meeting named “Sept 2, 2023 Meeting” so those are listed on the page based on the shortcode that was inserted.

The screenshot example below shows the shortcode has been inserted onto a page named Zoom Meetings. You can name your page anything you would like.

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Meeting Details

There are three sub menu items that appear on the top right of the displayed meetings.

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Meeting Details

All Meetings. All meetings the logged in member can access will be listed. This includes any previous and upcoming meetings.

Upcoming Meetings. All the upcoming meetings the logged in member can access will be listed.

Previous Meetings. All the previous meetings the logged in member can access will be listed.

Shortcodes Tab

You can click the Shortcodes tab to generate a shortcode that will display the Zoom meetings for one or multiple membership levels (or ALL membership levels).

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Shortcodes

The Shortcode Creator popup appears and displays the default Zoom Meetings shortcode. This default shortcode will display ALL meetings available to the logged in members. This means it will determine which meetings the logged in member can access based on their assigned membership level(s) and will show those meetings accordingly.

You can paste the default Zoom Meetings shortcode onto a page or post and it will display the meeting information for all meetings a logged in member can access.

Example of the default Zoom Meetings Shortcode: [wlm_zoom_meetings]

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Shortcodes

You can also use the Shortcode Creator to create a custom shortcode by selecting the membership level(s) you want to include for logged in members.

Example of the Zoom Meetings Shortcode with the Gold level selected: [wlm_zoom_meetings levels=”Gold”]

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Level Specific Shortcodes

Based on the meetings assigned to the Gold level, the screenshot below shows how the meeting information will be displayed to a logged in member with the Gold level assigned to them. In this example, the Gold level has been granted access to the meeting named “Gold Meeting” so that appears on the page based on the shortcode that was inserted.

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Level Specific Shortcodes

Meeting Details Button

A “Meeting Details” button appears with each meeting listing displayed to members. This button can be used to view the additional details for the specific meeting.

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Member Details Button

Click the Meeting Details button and a popup will appear with the specific meeting details. This information is pulled from the connected Zoom account.

WishList Member Integration with Zoom - Member Details Button

Start Time. The date and time the Zoom meeting is scheduled to start.

Duration. The scheduled length of time for the Zoom meeting.

Join URL. The link a member can use to join the Zoom meeting.

Host ID. The Host ID of the Zoom meeting. (The member will not typically need this information to join the Zoom meeting).

Add to Calendar. The member can add the upcoming Zoom meeting to their calendar using the Add to Calendar button.

You can provide members with access to any or all meetings using this integration between WishList Member and Zoom. This allows you to stay in contact and remain engaged with your members through any meetings you would like to create. Anything from weekly group Q&A sessions to 1 on 1 meetings with individual members is possible when you use WishList Member with Zoom.

MonsterInsights Pro Integration with WishList Member

MonsterInsights Pro includes an integration with WishList Member. This integration can be used to view analytics data related to sales, recurring payments and refund transactions for the supported payment provider integrations with WishList Member.

This integration with WishList Member is available in MonsterInsights Pro (or MonsterInsights Agency). It is not available in MonsterInsights Plus or the free version of MonsterInsights found in the WordPress plugins directory.

MonsterInsights Pro helps to organize and display data from Google Analytics and you can apply this to your membership levels when they are purchased. This can include viewing statistics related to members who purchase access to a membership level or members who may decide to refund their payment. These are just a couple samples and more details are explained below (including examples and screenshots).

There are no settings to be configured within the WishList Member plugin for the MonsterInsights Pro integration with WishList Member.

Tracking of membership level sales, recurring payments and refund transactions for the supported payment providers will be automatic if the WishList Member plugin and MonsterInsights Pro plugin are both installed and activated on a site and the MonsterInsights eCommerce Addon is also active.

Install and Activate MonsterInsights Pro and MonsterInsights eCommerce Addon

The first step is installing the MonsterInsights Pro plugin. This can be done in the Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin section of WordPress.

Please note, you will need to have downloaded the MonsterInsights Pro plugin to your computer.

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member

Once you have installed and activated the MonsterInsights Pro plugin, you can proceed to the next step of installing and activating the MonsterInsights eCommerce Addon.

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member

The MonsterInsights eCommerce Addon can be installed and activated from within the MonsterInsights Pro plugin. You will see a link to “install and activate” the eCommerce Addon in the Settings > eCommerce section of MonsterInsights Pro.

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member - eCommerce

Click the blue Install button for the eCommerce Addon…

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member - eCommerce

…and the eCommerce Addon will install and activate. A message stating the status is “Active” will be displayed.

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member - eCommerce

The MonsterInsights Pro plugin and MonsterInsights eCommerce Addon are now installed and activated.

Enable WishList Member eCommerce Tracking in MonsterInsights Pro

If the WishList Member plugin is also installed and activated on the site, the WishList Member option will automatically be enabled in the Settings > eCommerce section of MonsterInsights Pro.

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member - eCommerce

This means the eCommerce data for the supported Payment Provider integration you have configured in WishList Member will now be tracked and displayed in MonsterInsights Pro.

WishList Member Payment Provider Integrations Currently Supported by the MonsterInsights Pro Integration:

The specified eCommerce data from the following payment providers can be tracked when integrated with WishList Member on a site running MonsterInsights Pro and the MonsterInsights eCommerce Addon.

PayPal Checkout: Tracking of Checkout, Sales, Recurring Payments and Refunds.
– PayPal Payment Standard (Legacy): Tracking of Sales, Recurring Payments and Refunds.
Stripe: Tracking of Checkout, Sales, Recurring Payments and Refunds.
Authorize.net Simple Checkout: Tracking of Sales.

View Membership Level eCommerce Reports

You can view reports for the eCommerce data related to purchased membership levels in the Reports > eCommerce > Overview section of MonsterInsights Pro.

There is a delay of up to 12-24 hours for the data to appear and this is based on how Google Analytics shares that data. This means it will likely take a few hours after a transaction before you will see up to date information displayed.

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member - eCommerce

You will see the Top Products section if you scroll down the eCommerce page in MonsterInsights Pro. This list shows the top selling products on your website. The membership levels from WishList Member will be displayed along with their corresponding eCommerce data.

The example screenshot below shows the Custom Date picker has been used to select a specific date range and the data for three membership levels is displayed.

The format of the displayed membership levels is the following:

Payment Provider Integration Name – Membership Level Name

As an example, if a user purchased a membership level named Gold that has been integrated with Stripe in WishList Member, it would appear as the following:

Stripe – Gold

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member - eCommerce Report

There are four pieces of information displayed at a glance just above the Top Products section of MonsterInsights Pro.

Conversion Rate. The percentage of website sessions resulting in a transaction.

Transactions. The number of orders on your website.

Revenue. The total of the orders placed.

Avg. Order Value. The average amount of the orders placed on your website.

The Top Conversion Sources section also appears below the Top Products section on the eCommerce page in MonsterInsights Pro. This list shows the top referral websites in terms of product revenue.

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member - Top Conversion Sources

Graphs are available for the Sessions and Pageviews during the date range selected. These are useful to provide a quick view of data over the course of a set time period. The two example screenshots below show the graphs for a specifically selected date range.

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member - Sessions

MonsterInsights integration with WishList Member - Pageviews

The MonsterInsights Pro integration with WishList Member allows you to track and monitor eCommerce data related to sales, recurring payments and refunds. You can view payment related statistics at a glance and compare different date ranges to determine purchase trends. You could also view sessions and pageviews to help analyze your site traffic. These are only a small sample of what you can do with this integration. You're invited to check it out for yourself inside WishList Member.

Lifter LMS Integration with WishList Member

WishList Member includes an integration with LifterLMS. You can set specific automation to occur for your users based on rules you set up.

This can include options like adding users to a new course in LifterLMS when they join a new membership level through WishList Member. You might want to add users to a Lifter Membership if they get added to a level in WishList Member. Or, you could remove them from a course if they cancel their access to your site. Course Actions and Lifter Membership Actions can also be applied to handle situations like adding a user to a membership level in WishList Member if they start (or complete) a course created in LifterLMS. These are just a few samples of available options and more details are explained below (including examples and screenshots).

Enable LifterLMS Integration

The first step is installing the LifterLMS plugin. This can be done by searching for the LifterLMS plugin in the Plugins > Add New section of WordPress.

Lifter LMS Integration with WishList Member - Install Lifter LMS

Click the Install Now button and then click the Activate button when it appears.

Lifter LMS Integration with WishList Member - Activate Lifter LMS

The plugin is now installed and activated.

Lifter LMS Integration with WishList Member - Membership Level Actions

There are two sub tabs within the Editing LifterLMS Actions popup. These sub tabs appear in each of the four main tabs.

  • Course
  • Lifter Membership

Details on both of these sub tabs are included below.

Membership Level Actions > Course Sub Tab

Lifter LMS Integration with WishList Member - Courses

The Course sub tab provides the option for you to set if users should be Enrolled in a Course created in LifterLMS or be Removed from a Course created in LifterLMS if any of the following happens in WishList Member.

One course or multiple courses can be selected for any option.

Sensei LMS integration with WishList Member

WishList Member includes an integration with Sensei LMS. You can set specific automation to occur for your members based on rules you set up.

This can include options like adding members to a new course in Sensei LMS when they join a new membership level through WishList Member. Or removing them from a course if they cancel their access to your site. Course Actions can also be applied to handle situations like adding a user to a membership level in WishList Member if they start (or complete) a course created in Sensei LMS. These are just a few samples of available options and more details are explained below (including examples and screenshots).

Enable Sensei LMS Integration

The first step is installing the Sensei LMS plugin. This can be done by searching for the Sensei LMS plugin in the Plugins > Add New section of WordPress.

Sensei LMS Integration with WishList Member - Install the Sensei LMS WordPress plugin

Click the Install Now button and then click the Activate button when it appears.

Sensei LMS Integration with WishList Member - Activate the Sensei LMS WordPress plugin

The plugin is now installed and activated.

WishList Member Thrive Architect

WishList Member includes an integration with Thrive Architect. The combination of WishList Member and Thrive Architect gives you the ability to select different elements within a page or post and only allow specific users to access it.

You can use this powerful option to control access to various sections within a page or post.

Content can be set to only be viewable by specific membership levels. You can also set content to only be viewed by members who are not in a selected level.

This means a page can appear one way to some members and can appear another way to others. There are a number of options when using the variety of elements in Thrive Architect and the WishList Member integration provides the ability to customize how those elements appear (and who is able to see them).

You can set a text element to display a members only message and ensure only those with access can see it. Those who cannot see it will also see the alternative text you can set.

These are only a few examples with many more possibilities available. Lets get into it more below.

Installing Thrive Architect

The first step towards using WishList Member and Thrive Architect is installing the Thrive Architect plugin. This can be done in the Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin section of WordPress.

Note: You will need to have downloaded the Thrive Product Manager plugin to your computer first. If you own Thrive Apprentice, it will be available to you within the Thrive Product Manager plugin.

More details on the installation process are available in the How to Use the Thrive Product Manager article on the Thrive Themes site.

Once you have downloaded the Thrive Product Manager plugin, you can upload and activate it on your site.

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

Then select Thrive Architect in the Product Manager section and click the “Install selected products” button.

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

Thrive Architect is now installed and activated.

Note: The Thrive Architect integration will be automatically enabled in the Setup > Integrations > Other Services section of WishList Member. There are no additional settings within WishList Member.

WishList Member Conditional Display

While the integration is enabled, WishList Member will add a setting within Thrive Architect related to the display of Thrive Architect elements.

The setting can be accessed when using the Conditional Display while editing an element in Thrive Architect.

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

Setting Protection and Access for Elements

The WishList Member options appear when using the Display Conditions section of the element in Thrive Architect.

You can use the “Launch Thrive Architect” button when editing a page or post to set protection and access for elements using WishList Member.

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

In the example below, we will be setting a text element to only be seen by Gold Members. Anyone else will see a message stating they can “Click Here to join the GOLD level”.

We have inserted a Text element into the page and have clicked on the Conditional Display option in the left column.

Click on the Add display button. This will allow us to create the content that will only been seen by members.

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

There are now two display types shown:

New display #1. This display can be edited to only be seen by selected membership levels. (The name of the display can be edited. It is recommended to use a name that describes the display).

Default display. This display will be seen by anyone not defined in the New display #1.

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

We have set the Default display to show “Click Here to join the GOLD level”. That takes care of the default message that will appear on the page.

We can click the pencil icon on the New display #1 to edit the name of that display. We have set the name to Gold Members Only.

Note: The name will not be seen on the live site. It is only used for admin purposes in Thrive Architect.

The content for Gold members can now be entered into the element. In this case, it states “This text can only be seen by Gold members”.

The next step is important as it controls who can see the new display text we just created. We only want Gold members to see it so we need to click the settings icon on the right side of the display in the Conditional Display section or on the element itself.

Either option will open the display settings for that condition.

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

The “Display conditions for Gold Members Only” popup appears.

This allows us to create the conditions for the display of this element.

A dropdown with two options is available for the first selection.

Display content. This will display the content based on the condition set.

Hide content. This will hide the content based on the condition set.

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

In this example we are selecting Display content. Click the New condition set button to continue.

We can now edit the name of the rule. We have set the name to Gold Members in this example.

These are a few available options in the “When” dropdown but when setting a rule for member access, you will typically select User.

That allows you to select one of the WishList Member options from the “Select field” dropdown.

These are two choices:

Is not a member of. The content will be displayed if the user is not a member of the selected level(s).

Is a member of. The content will be displayed if the user is a member of the selected level(s).

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

We have selected “Is a member of” and a search field appears. The Gold level can now be selected from the list of membership levels. More than one level could be selected if desired.

Note: The list of levels is being pulled from the Setup > Levels section in WishList Member.

The selected level (Gold) now appears and the condition can be saved using the green Save Conditions button.

WishList Member Thrive Architect Integration

We are taken back to the Edit Page and the Conditional Display is all set. Click the Save Work button to complete the setup.

This means only members in the Gold level can view the “This text can only be seen by Gold members.” text while anyone else will see the default display stating “Click Here to join the GOLD level.”.

This method can be used to set up a wide variety of elements to be displayed or not displayed depending on membership levels. You can get creative and come up with scenarios that fit your site and benefit your community when using WishList Member and Thrive Architect.

WishList Member and Thrive Automator

WishList Member and Thrive Automator. The integration between these two systems provides you with a number of options. This allows you to create automatic actions between WishList Member and many other systems. One of the best parts is no custom code is required. You can set up automations in minutes with just a few clicks.

This is done through the use of triggers that will cause specific actions to be carried out.

There are many different options so you can let your creativity loose. You could configure an action to move a member to another level if they expire from their initial level. An action could add a member to a level if they leave a comment on the site. A trigger of a specific time and date could be set to to add a new member to a selection of membership levels.

Webhooks can be set as triggers which really opens up the playing field. You can even create triggers and actions based on Thrive Apprentice and Thrive Architect. These are just a few examples. More details are explained below.

Installing Thrive Automator

The first step towards using WishList Member and Thrive Automator is installing the Thrive Automator plugin.

Thrive Automator - WishList Member

Then select Thrive Automator in the Product Manager section and click the “Install selected products” button.

Once you have completed the installation and activation process, Thrive Automator will appear in your menu in the Thrive Dashboard section.

Thrive Automator - WishList Member

Note: The Thrive Automator plugin is required to be installed and activated to use this integration. The integration will be enabled when you install and activate Thrive Automator.

Create Automations in Thrive Automator

There are many options when creating an automation. Selecting a type of trigger will result in different action options being available. This means certain triggers have certain actions.

You can create automations in the Thrive Automator > Automations section.

The option to create your first automation is available or you can use the “Add new” button if you already have existing automations.

Thrive Automator - WishList Member

The “New automation” page will appear. You can name the automation and select the trigger.

Note: The trigger is what will start the process that leads to the action. “When this happens…”

Thrive Automator - WishList Member

There are many different trigger categories. These include WordPress, Incoming Webhooks, Thrive options like Apprentice and Architect, etc. WishList Member is also a trigger category.

In this example, a new automation with the name When a User Leaves a Comment is being setup.

It will be set up to do the following:

  • When a user leaves a comment on the WordPress site, they will automatically have the Gold membership level applied in WishList Member.

Set the name of the automation. The name is typically something related to the automation. In this case, it is named “When a User Leaves a Comment”.

Next, select the trigger. You can either select from the trigger categories or type in the available search field.

We have selected WordPress as the trigger category so the available WordPress triggers are displayed in the dropdown. The “User leaves comment” trigger is being selected in this example.

Select the trigger and the “Only trigger if the following conditions are met” dropdown appears. There are a variety of options within the dropdown including user ID, registration date, email address and more. This means the trigger can be set to happen during specific situations.

In this case, we are setting the option to “Always trigger”. This will result in the action being applied every time the trigger occurs.

Click the Done button when finished.

Thrive Automator - WishList Member

The trigger is now created. The next step is creating the action to go with the trigger.

Click the plus button to add an action.

Next, select the action. You can either select from the action categories or type in the available search field.

Thrive Automator - WishList Member

We have selected WishList Member as the action category so the available WishList Member actions are displayed in the dropdown. The “Add member to membership level” action is being selected in this example.

Select the action and a dropdown to select the membership level and a dropdown to set the optional transaction ID appears in this case.

We have selected the Gold membership level and left the transaction ID blank. (this means the transaction ID will be automatically generated).

Click the Done button when finished.

Thrive Automator - WishList Member

The trigger and action are now setup. The final steps are to set the automation to Active and click the Save and Finish button.

The new automation appears on the list of automations and will function moving forward.

This example shows any user who leaves a comment on the site will automatically be added to the Gold membership level in WishList Member.

Thrive Automator - WishList Member

Additional automations can be created at any time. There are many different options and combinations available to use for the various systems when using WishList Member and Thrive Automator.

Thrive Apprentice WishList Member Integration

You can select who can access your specific courses built in Thrive Apprentice when using the integration with WishList Member. So you can pick and choose who can access courses and include that in your sales and marketing material for your membership site.

Some of your courses may be intended for a select group of users while another course might be more widely accessible. You could offer a premium level with access to all courses and a lower tiered level with access to fewer courses.

This can all be handled using the Thrive Apprentice integration with WishList Member. This allows you to set protection for specific courses within Thrive Apprentice that can only be viewed if a user has been granted access using levels in WishList Member.

This means you can easily protect your courses so only the users you select can gain access to them.

You can allow users to register for the required level or you can add the required level to the user account using the options in WishList Member. Once a user has the required membership level, they can access any of the Thrive Apprentice courses you would like to provide them. You can check out all the details below.

Installing Thrive Apprentice

Then select “Access requirements”.

You will now see a WishList Member option under the “How can users purchase this product?” section. You'll notice no access rule is set yet.

The post Tutor LMS Integration with WishList Member appeared first on WordPress Membership Plugin - Membership Sites.]]>
In this article, we’ll cover how to integrate WishList Member and Tutor LMS. To begin, both WishList Member and Tutor LMS will need to be installed and activated on your site.

The Tutor LMS plugin can be installed by searching for “Tutor LMS” in the WordPress Plugins > Add New section.

Then you’ll want to build your course(s) in Tutor LMS. The Tutor LMS integration with WishList Member requires a course (or courses) to be set up first.

So, you can begin by creating your course in the Tutor LMS section of your site.

Once your course is created, head over to the Setup > Integrations > Other Services section in WishList Member:

And, select and enable Tutor LMS:

Once enabled, you’ll see two primary options for handling “Actions” between WishList Member and Tutor LMS:

A brief overview of each option:

  • Membership Level Actions. Actions that occur in WishList Member. For example, a member is added to a level or removed from a level, etc. Under this tab, these actions act as the “trigger”.
  • Course Actions. Actions that occur in Tutor LMS. For example, a student is added to a course or completes a course. Under this tab, these actions act as the “trigger”.

Membership Level Actions

To specify Membership Level Actions for a particular membership level, click on the name of the desired level or the corresponding Edit icon.

The Edit pop-up will appear:

Here you have four “triggers” you can “attach” actions to:

  • When Added. When a member is added to this membership level, this trigger will “fire”.
  • When Cancelled. When a member is cancelled from this membership level, this trigger will “fire”.
  • When Removed. Removal is different from cancellation or expiration. In those scenarios, the member still technically “belongs” to the level, they just have a level status of cancelled or expired. Removal is removing the member from the level completely. This trigger will “fire” when a member is removed for this level.
  • When Re-Registered. When a member is re-registered to this level, this trigger will “fire”. Re-registration can happen if a member is cancelled, expired or removed from the level and then subsequently “re-registers” for that same level.

Next, you have two “actions” you can attach to the “triggers” mentioned above:

  • Enroll In Course. This will enroll a member in the course specified.
  • Remove From Course. This will remove a member from the course specified.

To get started, select the tab you’d like to use as a trigger:

When Added, When Cancelled, When Removed, or When Re-Registered

Next, decide which action you’d like to occur:

Enroll In Course or Remove From Course.

Finally, select the Course you’d like members enrolled in or removed from:

For example, if we stay in the “When Added” tab and we select “Course 1” from the dropdown under “Enroll In a Course”… that will result in members being enrolled in Course 1 in Tutor LMS when they are added/register to the Gold level.

Please note, there is also an option to select if you want to enroll existing members in the level into the course.

When you’re done, be sure to click the “Save and Close” button.

Course Actions

Course actions are essentially the reverse of Membership Level Actions. Here, we use actions that occur in Tutor LMS as the “trigger” and specify actions to occur in WishList Member when those triggers fire.

Start by selecting the “Course Actions” tab. You’ll see a list of the courses you’ve created in Tutor LMS:

Click on the name of the desired course or the corresponding Edit icon.

The Edit pop-up will appear:

There are two triggers:

  • When Enrolled in this Course. This trigger will “fire” when a member is enrolled in this course.
  • When Course is Completed. This trigger will “fire” when a member completes this course.

Each trigger has three actions you can you can specify:

  • Add to Level. This will add members to the level(s) specified.
  • Cancel From Level. This will cancel members from the level(s) specified.
  • Remove From Level. This will remove members from the level(s) specified.

To get started, select the tab you’d like to use as a trigger:

When Enrolled in this Course or When Course is Completed.

Then, decide what actions you’d like to occur when this trigger is fired:

Add to Level, Cancel From Level and/or Remove From Level.

Next, select which level(s) you’d like added, cancelled or removed using the dropdown boxes provided.

For example, we can stay on the “When Enrolled in this Course” tab and select the “Silver” level in the “Add to Level” dropdown. Now, when a member is added to “Course 2” in Tutor LMS, they will also be added to the “Silver” level in WishList Member.

When you’re done, be sure to click the “Save and Close” button.
